Reflection

Hey guys! I got into a rambling mood..

I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting these past couple of days. Reflecting on where I am in life, where I want to be in life, and how I plan on getting there. Reflecting on the type of people who are in my life,  wondering if they are beneficial to me or am I beneficial to them….

No one wants to spend time being unhappy, disappointed, let down,  discouraged, whatever it may be! No one wants people in their lives who constantly leaves then comes back or who brings uncertainty and negativity into their space. No one wants to go to school for 4 years, get a degree, and realize how hard it is to actually find a job in which they can use that degree. The crazy thing is that we all waste sooo much time on things that doesn’t deserve a second!Let me tell you something that we all know, time waits for no one. That is why we must constantly self reflect.

I loved the message that a pastor shared with us this past Sunday and I wanted to share it with you all as well. To sum it up, the words CONTROL, ALT, and DELETE should be our guide to life.

Give God and let him take control of our lives! While alting (changing, reflecting) things in our lives, we can then delete negativity and things that we don’t want in our lives. (That may not be the best sum but hopefully you all grasps the concept lol)

Faith without work is dead right? If you don’t like something, change it! If you don’t like your current job, find a new one! If you are not happy with the current people who are in your life, remove them! If you want to do something, do it! I’ve been told so many times how the world is my oyster and I can do anything that I want to do. Sometimes, words are easier said than done. That doesn’t mean that they aren’t achievable.

I encourage you all to stay motivated, to stay faithful, and to stay determined! I also want you all to remember how important is it to stay true to yourself no matter what. It is okay to put yourself first sometimes. It is okay to do things that make yourself happy. It is okay to be different and want to step outside of the box. Self is YOU so be who you are. I know as people we can get so caught up in what others are doing, what others are saying, what others are thinking . I realize doing my self reflecting that small things like that aren’t relevant! It’s bigger things like becoming financially stable, having a better relationship with God, meeting and building relationships with GENUINE people that are more relevant to me.

With every new year, we become older. With age, we become wiser. When we are wiser, we understand the things that we are seeking in life. I know where I am currently is not my final destination. When one door closes, plenty more will open. I’m at an age where I feel lost with no point of direction but I know soon everything is going to fall into place. I know this because I have faith!

I hope that you guys can read this and pass some encouraging words to your neighbors.

I’m going to end by sharing a quote:

Consult not your fears but your hopes and your dreams. Think not about your frustrations, but about your unfulfilled potential. Concern yourself not with what you tried and failed in, but with what it is still possible for you to do.
