Happy New Year! I’ve been really busy and I haven’t been the best at keeping up with my blog. Hopefully this year I can get better at posting….
Any who, it’s a new year! Welcome to 2017. New year, new me, who this right?
I’ve never been the type to set new year’s resolutions because by the middle of the year something else has my attention and often times I forget what my resolutions were.

I’m a visual person, I love to see, and I love to WRITE THINGS DOWN.
Writing goals, aspirations, things I want to do allows me to make the most of my year and also allows me to reflect back on things that I’ve done.
I make an informal list of things I want to do and call it my “To Do List” for the year. Here’s what I have for 2017:
- Bring in 2017 at Church
- Do a Detox
- Donate Blood or Plasma
- Volunteer
- Give a Gift to a Stranger
- Visit Bonnie and Clyde’s Graves
- Visit a Museum in Dallas
- Attend a Poetry Open Mic Night
- Go to a Comedy Show
- Go to a Professional Basketball Game
- Go to a Concert
- Go Skiing
- Go Ziplining or Parasailing
- Travel to a New State
- Random Road Trip
- Win Something
- Read THREE (3) Books
- Get a New Hair Color
- New Tattoo
- Picnic
- Sip and Paint Night
- Visit a Spa (SPA DAY)
- Buy a New Purse
- Random Activity from Groupon
- Take a Dance Class
So how can YOU make the most of your 2017?
- Write down some goals, even the smallest things, and set your 2017 on the things you write down.
- Whether you do a vision board, sticky notes, journal, WHATEVER – Find yourself a visual aide that works best for you.

For 2017, let’s be VISIONARY. A person who is visionary can be defined as one who thinks about or plans the future with imagination or wisdom.
Spiritually speaking,
Matthew 21:22 says “And all things, whatsoever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.”
For 2016, I prayed that my year would be filled with ADVENTURE, LOVE, and GROWTH. I can honestly say I experienced all of that. I went from Florida to Alabama to Mexico to visiting Philly for the first time to spending Thanksgiving in Dubai plus more!
I experienced a level of self love in 2016 than I ever had before. and Growth? Let’s just say I’m more out of my comfort zone now.
The point is to pray, ask God, and receive his blessings! This is the year we should start speaking things into existence.
Ok I’m going to end now because I know I can be a little long winded. 🙂
As always, just wanted to share my thoughts with you. I’m asked all the time how I’m able to do this or that and I answer the same every time, YOLO!! Corny I know, but it’s so true. WE ONLY LIVE ONCE. So why not make our journeys memorable.
Make the most out of your year!!
Cheers to 2017 and I hope it’s a blessed one for you all.
Feel free to share your “To Do List” with me or things you want to do in your 2017!!

Thanks for reading. ❤
